Who me? Organized? Between building a business, nurturing intentional relationships, being my own book keeper, remembering appointments and so on there are just not enough hours in the day. Fortunately, for team Gold & Glow we build this brand on collaboration. No one person does everything. But we do have a ton of little secrets that help us run more smoothly.
We don’t do this perfectly but I always say “mistakes make room for success” and we’re the first to trial run it. Luckily for you we’re sharing some of that trial and error here so you can jump on past all those messy moments to get those successes we’re all looking for!
The first and foremost thing I will urge all business owners, dreamers, & creatives to do is set apart “you time” being organized is impossible if it’s not put into practice firstly in your mindset. I go about this is by morning journalling. I started this out by sharing that I understand the struggle of not enough hours in the day but I swear by you time more than any other tip I could share. **if you need journalling prompts, mediation practices, or some consultation in this area don’t hesitate to reach out!
Next, I’d 10/10 recommend a task organizer app or website. Our team’s organizer of choice is “Asana” but we’ve also loved “Monday” in the past. The internet is FULL of these bad boys and they make a world of a difference! Once you’ve started this set up I recommend a daily or weekly “brain dump” where you turn ALL your thoughts into tasks.
The last tip of the day is get yourself a team. Low budget? No time to train? (got anymore myths to through in that I should debunk?) Those are the exact reasons you need a team. You and your dreams can’t move forward until you prioritize teamwork.
That last one was a brutal one for some so I’ll let you steep in that one for a bit!
